Overview

Griffith University's Vice Chancellor's International Scholarship rewards exceptional international students commencing undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degrees in 2027 with 50% of tuition fees for their whole degree. A separate scholarship application (after receiving a Griffith Letter of Offer) is assessed per trimester intake, with the next deadlines on 28 November 2026 (Trimester 1, 2027) and 10 April 2027 (Trimester 2, 2027).

Why it is notable: It's one of Australia's largest automatic-scale merit awards by coverage (half the tuition for the entire degree, not just first year) — but it excludes MBA, research degrees and online programs, a trap many aggregators bury; and the scholarship application is separate from admission with its own earlier closing dates that do NOT follow Griffith's rolling admission.

What it covers

  • 50% of undergraduate or postgraduate coursework tuition fees for the whole degree duration (official "Award value"; deduction applied by the census date of each trimester)
