Overview

The Pollination Project gives $1,000 seed grants to early-stage grassroots changemakers anywhere in the world — individuals, informal groups, and registered nonprofits with annual budgets under $50,000. There is no fixed deadline: applications are reviewed on a rolling monthly basis, with decisions shared at the end of the month following submission. Beyond the money, grantees join a 4,000+ global community with follow-on funding connections, capacity building, and media exposure.

Why it is notable: a truly global micro-grant with no thematic narrowness ("any effort that moves us towards a better world"), no degree or age bar, decisions within ~2 months, and a grantee-led review model — 100+ volunteer grant advisors, most of them former grantees, make the funding decisions.
