Overview

The NTU Research Scholarship is the university's own flagship award for outstanding graduate research students — full tuition plus a monthly stipend for PhD and research-Master's candidates across all NTU schools, with no bond attached. You apply once for admission and indicate the scholarship on the same form; the school recommends you for RSS (or the higher Nanyang President's Graduate Scholarship) on merit. It is distinct from the NUS Research Scholarship (different university, already listed) and from SINGA (a separate A*STAR scheme, already listed).

Why it is notable: no separate scholarship form and no bond; international students are explicitly eligible ("regardless of their citizenship" — official NIE page); but the deadline is school-dependent (15 November vs 31 January for the same August 2027 intake), and late applications are simply rolled to the next intake — many applicants miss that their school's date differs.
