Overview

The KTH Scholarship waives the entire tuition fee for fee-paying international students admitted to an eligible KTH master's programme in autumn 2027. You apply first for the programme on Sweden's national admissions portal (universityadmissions.se), then submit the scholarship form on kth.se between 1 December 2026 and 15 January 2027 — no extra documents are needed, since selection reuses your admission file. It is highly competitive: in 2026 only 9% of admitted scholarship applicants were nominated.

Why it is notable: Unlike most merit awards, there is no separate essay or dossier — your motivation letter, grades and record from the standard admission application do all the work, judged on academic excellence plus how you will contribute to sustainable development.
