Overview

AUIP funds 50 postdoctoral research stays a year for Latin American PhD holders at public universities in Andalusia, Spain. Each grant is worth up to €3,000 — covering your flight (up to €1,200) plus €600 a month for the stay — aimed especially at young researchers who want to build lasting cooperation between research groups.

Why it is notable: it is one of the few mobility grants reserved specifically for postdoctoral researchers from Latin America, with an explicit young-researcher focus and two application windows a year.
Funding at a glance

What it covers

  • International travel to the Andalusian destination university, up to €1,200.
  • Stay expenses: €600 for each 30-day period of stay, up to a maximum of 90 days (€1,800).
  • (Total grant ceiling €3,000. Explicitly not covered: visa costs, medical insurance — the fellow's responsibility — and expenses beyond the stay period.)
